WueData is the institutional research data repository of the Julius-Maximilians-Universität Würzburg. Scientists working at the JMU can publish their digital research data here in accordance with the FAIR principles. A WueData publication thus fulfils the requirements by many research funding agencies.
For a publication, research data and supplementary material is compiled into data packages and described using standardized metadata. The University Library of Würzburg performs a formal curation of the metadata to ensure that the data is described according to widely accepted standards. When published, each data package is assigned a DOI (Digital Object Identifier) by which it can be permanently accessed as well as uniquely identified and cited. Each data package's metadata is public and made available via a standardized OAI interface. For the data, a proper licence is chosen by the uploader, so that it is clear, how and for which purpose the data can be re-used.
WueData is a service offered by the IT Center of the University of Würzburg and the University Library of Würzburg in cooperation. Its underlying software is RADAR developed at the FIZ Karlsruhe. All data is stored exclusively on the university's IT infrastructure at the IT Center.
